LACT UNITS
LACT unit’s main purpose is for the automatic, unattended measurement of the quantity and quality of crude oil when transferred from wellhead to the pipeline

A LACT unit operates when an open feed line is connected to a stock tank (surge tank). When the oil level in the tank rises, it triggers a level controller to turn on the LACT unit pump to begin the transaction; once the level in the stock tank drops the controller will turn the LACT unit off.

1. Flow rate
2. Viscosity
3. Specific gravity
4. Temperature
5. Operating pressure
6. Water content
