EnergyHub Partners with AELEX to Host Webinar on 2020 Marginal Fields Bid Rounds

EnergyHub and AELEX, Nigeria’s topmost legal firm in the Energy Sector are hosting a webinar this Tuesday 14th July 2020. The discussions on the Webinar will cover how bidders will package a winning bid, how to structure funding for field development, what to watch out for when negotiating the farm-in agreement with OML holders, how to set up and operate profitably, and how to mitigate against shocks-lessons from COVID-19.

This year 2020 Marginal Fields Bid Round via zoom webinar meeting is set to enlighten bidders and other operatives in marginal field segments how to pursue a safe and sound business venture especially in this period of uncertainties.

Energyhub Founder, Dr. Felix Amieyeofori in his statement said “The platform also attracts investors and financiers to our indigenous operators. We are thus involved in the ongoing marginal field bids rounds by connecting financiers to support some companies in the bid rounds with the structure to finance signature bonus and first oil production upon a successful bid.

Energyhub, www.energyhubng.com is also in collaboration with foreign solar energy manufacturers in order to bring affordable and reliable solar power equipment and facilities to support current federal government directives on renewable energy

The Marginal Fields Bid Round, including the execution of farm-out agreements by field awardees and OML holders, is expected to be completed within 6 months from June 1st.

“With this tight deadline, it becomes imperative to consider issues around how to submit a winning bid, the risks associated with negotiation of farm-out agreements, how awardees can structure financing to fund field development and how to design and build the venture to withstand global shocks, especially in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic.

These are the prevalent issues that experts will be addressing in the webinar, and the expectation is that by the end of the webinar, the audience will have a working knowledge of what is required to bid, win and successfully obtain financing to operate a marginal field asset.”
