FG Establishes Free AI Academy to Boost Digital Economy Skills

The Federal Government of Nigeria has announced the establishment of a complimentary Artificial Intelligence (AI) Academy aimed at placing the nation at the forefront of the global digital economy. Chief Uche Nnaji, the Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, officially inaugurated the AI Academy on Thursday in Abuja, highlighting that the initiative is a collaboration with the Commonwealth Secretariat and Intel Corporation. During the launch, Nnaji stressed that the online program is free of charge and encouraged all Nigerians, especially students, youth, and civil servants, to seize the opportunity to participate in this transformative initiative. “The AI Academy is free, and registration is now open until January 30, 2025.
